Happiness is key

I believe happiness is the key to success. Now I’m not talking about fame or fortune. I’m talking about being successful in life as a person. I think that if one isn’t happy with their life or how their life is going, they aren’t really putting themselves up for success. Going about your day to day with no purpose isn’t the right route to follow. I believe we all have a purpose in life and some of us haven’t found it yet. Some of us are looking for it. And some of us just don’t know how to begin looking for it. One thing I do think people should do is change their attitude about life. I am the best example. I live life according to the past and future and not the present and that’s not the right way to go. I shouldn’t worry about what happened or what’s to come; I should live in the NOW! I go through each day hoping for the best yet looking at the worst. It kills me inside because I never know how to be optimistic. I know we all have to look at life as if it was only one to live. It’s true. We are all in this world because we have a purpose here. We shouldn’t put it to waste. We are all talented, we are all strong and we are all ABLE to accomplish anything that is thrown our way. Sometimes we just need to put this plan into action. Challenge yourself today to become a better person. To start thinking positive. Be optimistic. It’s not hurting anyone, in fact its helping. Happiness like I said is key. When we feel happy, nothing can stop us. Putting on a smile can actually make you happy. Negative emotions are necessary for us to flourish, and positive emotions are by nature subtle and fleeting. Don’t eliminate negativity, balance negative and positive feelings. Some people like me, cannot deal with complete negativity even though I’m an extremely pessimistic human being. I do look at the bright side of things because I know that a sense of positive emotions brings about a great outlook in life. Positive emotions play a huge role in our lives. They are reactions to your current circumstances. They aren’t a permanent state, but feelings that come and go. Not only do they feel good, but we want to feel them. You want to feel some sort of anger but you don’t want it to be a permanent state of being. They tell us what we need mentally and emotionally and what our future selves might need. They help us broaden our minds and our outlook down the road. Positive emotions are more narrow feelings, not overall judgments about your life. Sometimes we use happy to refer to a specific emotion, but I believe happiness is an overall outcome of many positive moments. When we experience positive emotions, we have more meaning in life. We look up instead of looking down at every situation. We have better social skills and also we enjoy being in the moment. We need to find happiness in many things, such as in the present moment. Find happiness in your past. But most importantly, take charge of your brain! Organize your thoughts in positive ways and start living life with these positive emotions. This task isn’t an easy one, but I believe if you put your mind up for anything, everything is possible.
